CM Drilling is built around geotechnical drilling excellence.

High-quality diamond coring (PQ3, HQ3): We target 100 percent recovery and focus on delivering intact, undisturbed core and representative samples suitable for advanced testing and engineering assessment.

Efficient production: We understand the constraints around engineering time, traffic management and site access. Our goal is simple — maximise productive drilling and get you on and off site safely and efficiently.

Lightweight, nimble rigs: Designed for constrained and difficult access locations — inside structures, beneath bridges, along hard shoulders and shared paths, or heli-lifted to remote ridgelines.

Engineer-aligned drilling: Our crews are trained in AS 1726 logging principles and geotechnical investigation requirements. We understand engineering scope, terminology and sampling priorities — and communicate in the field accordingly.

Experienced driller feedback: Subtle changes at the drill are recognised early. If ground conditions vary, we advise field engineers immediately on additional sampling or testing such as U-tubes or SPTs.

Supporting field engineers: We actively assist and mentor site staff, helping ensure critical samples and tests are not missed and that investigations are completed safely and correctly.

In-situ testing capability: U-tubes, SPTs, packer testing, slug testing, downhole and cross hole seismic, ATV/OTV imaging, inclined and oriented holes.

Geotechnical installations: Monitoring wells, standpipe and vibrating wire piezometers, inclinometer casing and bore development — installed accurately and to specification.

Who We Are

CM Drilling is a Western Australian owned and operated drilling contractor specialising in low-impact, high-quality geotechnical and difficult-access drilling.

Director and lead driller Mirza brings more than 20 years of hands-on drilling experience across geotechnical, exploration, directional, sonic, underground and remote operations throughout Australia and internationally. He is widely respected for his technical skill and his commitment to core quality and professional standards. Beyond project work, he contributes to the industry by training and certifying emerging drillers. For Mirza, drilling is not just a trade — it is a craft.

He is partnered with Conor, an experienced driller and military veteran who brings exceptional discipline, planning and logistical execution to field operations. Having worked together on the same rig for over five years, their coordination in the field is precise, efficient and highly productive.

Together they lead crews known for professionalism, safety and consistently high-quality drilling outcomes.

We specialise in low-footprint, minimal-disturbance drilling. Our compact off-road truck and trailer rigs access locations larger spreads cannot, reducing site impacts and infrastructure requirements.
